Sony will not be attending E3 2019 - a first in 24 years.
I think they might have their own event to keep the media attention focused on themselves. And use that opportunity to launch PS5. 
That’s quite a big blow to E3 not having one of its major exhibitors.

super selfish , but I suppose that’s a good business tactic from Sony,
Phase 1:Throw money at developers and get exclusives
Phase 2: Leave E3 which means Microsoft flounders due to too much time available at E3 and nothing to show for it due to phase 1.
