I’ve wanted to create this I think since MyG.
What are the programs (or games) that you always have on your system, maybe it’s essential for you to have them, irrespective how often you change systems or have to do formats and re-installations.
*I say system, as users could use Macs, so I don’t assume
- MSI Afterburner - System monitoring
- Networx - Data monitoring
- Avast! Antivirus - Self-explanatory
- Firefox (Quantum) - Browsing
- VLC Media Player - Video
- Foobar2000 - Music
- Grand Theft Auto V/Online (This is what got me to thinking about making this topic)
- Something multiplayer
The one game i have had on my hdd since my very first pc, which has never been removed and never will be, is: Warcraft 3 TFT
MPC (Media Player Classic )
VLC but don’t like the washed out look of videos so its only for those that can’t be played by mpc.
Foobar2000 - Music
Faststone Image viewer
Spotify (as of late)
RawTherapee/Lightroom (depending on O/S)
A lot of what I use is portable or online, so I don’t really install much. The bit that I do:
Media Player Classic
Google Drive Backup (Whatever they calling it these days)
Anything else I can find or need from Ninite. (best site ever)
I just realize how little time and focus I actually spend to my PC. At the moment I can only think of a handful of programs that I have to have, and those are:
And that’s it. I don’t use my PC for anything else.
I have paint.net (altho looking for a cheaper and easier to use lightroom)
all the games associated with that
You guys all use horrible media players.
Seriously, nothing comes close to Potplayer:
I only know vlc I will try it out.
I like potplayer but still have kmplayer as my default. Too lazy to fiddle with program settings.
Dude @Entity, can you recommend any easy to use programs that I can just play with light balance for photos on my pc. I would use lightroom but its too expensive. Something very easy to use tho - I are noob
Have tried pot befire but for sone reason it kept on being non responsive.
Check out http://rawtherapee.com/
Very much like lightroom, but free and open source
Dankie! Im still learning my phone and the camera on it either takes good pictures but some times very under exposed
Need for speed III, IV, V (nothing beats the classics)
Winrar (i dont trust winzip anymore)
Internet Download Manager
Crystal Disk Info
Office 2007 (least bloated of the lot and does the job)
Marine Aquarium Screensaver
The quickest and easiest suggestion I can give you is Lightroom on your phone. It’s free and just as powerful as the desktop version, it just can’t do RAW files without a subscription as far as I know.
There a few other desktop softwares out there but I think this might be the easiest for now.
Let me know if you need some help with anything.
i dont think I shoot RAW on my phone so that will be great thanks
check out snapseed for your phone too.
