Steam Deck

I bought a steam deck for the wife… Nothing else to say, just wanted to brag somehwere :slight_smile:

Refurbished LCD for About R7500 (OLED one is more expensive than my fairly decent gaming PC so thats a nope), looks DAMN good out the box, packaging looked same as official refurbished unboxing’s we’d seen online. Installed Emudeck on it and she’s currently using it as a nostalgic Sega Saturn :smiley:

edit: the long term goal is to get her back into gaming…we used to play Don’t Starve Together and other such smaller/simple coop games. She not a fan of fps or online competitive, so steamdeck is perfect for relax on couch and game instead of relax on couch and get fed AI slop thru your phone :smiley:

The steam deck got me reacquainted with indie games. So many AAA games run like crap, but the indie stuff: man it’s good. Has me searching the steam store with a completely different mindset.
