Stray is a third-person adventure game that follows the story of a stray cat who falls into a dystopian cyber world populated by robots, machines and viruses and sets out to return to his family.

yeeessss I want this, the world looks so cool, and being a cat would be awesome.
This could be an epic parkour game. Hope you get to trip somebody by getting between their feet just to keep things realistic.
So I just picked this up. Any idea exactly what time this unlocks?
I’m wondering if the special promotion ends an hour before the game releases, or if it rounds up?
While normally the extra hour wouldn’t be an issue, I would like to stream this tonight, and I have load shedding at 9pm
I’m hoping it unlocks at 6pm, gives me an hour to download, then 2 hours to stream.
PC Gamer article says:
Here’s the release time for each region:
UK: 5 pm (BST)
Europe: 6 pm (CET)
US East-Coast: 12 pm (EST)
US West-Coast: 9 am (PST)
Which would be 18:00 for us here. I’ve seen other releases discounts end at the launch time before, so that counter matches a 6 PM release. BUT, I’ve also seen a lot of Steam stuff only happens for us at 19:00 so that unlock counter could also be correct??
I saw a Tweet last month that suggested game play through time of around 8 hours, slightly longer if you hunt for all the collectibles, so it may work well for a two day back-to-back stream?
Pre-release reviews are solid:
“Stray is the work of sly cat people, and it’s a triumph”
“Simple, polished systems allow Stray’s rich fiction and charismatic star to shine.”

“Stray is a phenomenal, if compact, feline adventure that captures cats perfectly - even if they do find themselves in a bizarrely beautiful robotic world.”

I see some youtubers are already playing it and putting up let’s plays, so we will most likely get ours release later tonight.
Game’s unlocked. Downloading now.
I’ll hopefully be ready to stream around 6pm if all goes well with everything
I’ll come lurk - don’t want to spoil too much as I want to play it myself on the weekend…
Stray has become the highest rated game on Steam so far this year, unseating God of War.
Further down that list we come across some really obscure titles!
The lesser known titles can be like that, since there isn’t much of a hype train, most of the people who purchase the game know what they like and appreciate it in the game they buy, hence the overwhelming majority of positive reviews.
It’s a good idea to compare the list to the
Most Reviewed Games on Steam.
