Has anyone added a micro sd card to their phone? Is there any specific thing to watch out for? Is this card okay?

I don’t see it being a problem.

Yeah, its dead simply, just put it in your SD card slot for your phone and you will be good to go, maybe just double check that you actually have a slot for an SD card of course.

Compatibility: All MicroSDHC and MicroSDXC supporting host devices

Just make sure your phone supports those cards (it really should unless its like 10 years old budget phone).
My SD card slot is the same tray as my SIM. You can hotswap it live (no longer need to take out battery like in the good ol’ days).

You shouldnt come across any issues, might just need to format the SD card once the phone detects it (if it wasn’t already used as a phone SD)

So last night my phone rebooted and went into an endless cycle of rebooting. The only rational reason I can think of is that it must have unknowingly been doing an update when it rebooted. I managed to correct it by going into recovery mode and performing a factory reset.

On a side note, my phone has been randomly freezing and rebooting at random times. Could this be a contributing factor to the above as well?

I have also noticed some flickering pixels at times which I don’t think are associated to the panel but perhaps memory issues?

Also, I don’t know why this is happening:

Maybe a bad recovery as it looks like whatsapp isnt able to decrypt anything. I would suggest factory reset and restore from backup.

I don’t often use Chrome; I try not to, but I noticed this today. Is this something from the browser or a result of something on my computer?

i know on windows those types of messages usually display if you have some sort of work/school microsoft account setup, it might also display if it is part of a domain if I am not mistaken. This is just off the top of my head now, my knowledge of MAC ain’t to good.

That could be the case, we do have Microsoft organisation accounts but I haven’t added my company profile to Chrome. We also have SentinelOne installed on our machines, which I suspect might be causing this?

Is this something to be concerned about?

Some gaming tech support information here.

I have a PC in the lounge that the kids play on most of the time. Often this PC is also used for party gaming sessions when we play with friends. Games like “Think of the Children”, “Moving Out”, “Overcooked” and some “Mario Kart” on the emulator are very popular.

To do this I have accumulated 4 XBOX Controllers over the years, for my XBOX One and then later specifically for the PC. I purchased a Bluetooth adapter for the PC and tried to get all the controllers connected via BT. But there seems to be a problem where BT only ever accepts ONE controller at a time. Sometimes 2 or even 3 will connect but disconnections and bad signal seems to be the order of the day.

I tried a faster BT adapter (the first one was super cheap) and the problems persisted. Online research seems to indicate to a Windows BT stack limitation. O…K…

So I used USB-C cables to connect the controllers and all seemed fine for a while. The controllers are actually sending data over USB and not just charging the controllers like the 360 days. Now the problem is that the USB-C ports on the controllers wearing through and the connections are a little loose. So when active kids move about the connection is lost and the game will either kick the player out or the controller connects with a new ID and the game refuses input.

Needless to say this is very frustrating and has caused a few teary eyes in heated multiplayer games. Just ask @DarthMol

After some more research it seems the answer is the Microsoft XBOX One Controller Adapter for Windows 10. This uses the built in 2.4GHz signal from the Xbox consoles to connect to the controllers. It allows up to 8 controllers, or 4 controllers with audio. Perfect! The biggest problem is finding a legitimate adapter! There are only knockoffs online and the official ones in the US sells for thousands.

Then I found an online, local shop who sells the real Microsoft deal! I ordered one and await delivery! Hopefully the saga is nearing the end!

O, and the local company in actually based in Ballito, but do not allow pickups (they work from home and their stock is warehoused, so I guess its OK) so the parcel will prob go to DBN and then back out to Ballito.

Since i have not experienced something like this myself I can only assume by what the message says, i would say your “organization” will be able to see things like browser history, not sure it they would be able to see passwords or such things though.

I can’t see them being that intrusive but yeah, I get what you’re saying. Thanks for the input and feedback, much appreciated.

This the thing?? Under R900 delivered on Amazon. “3K+ bought in the last month”.

ETA: or is this one only useful for a single controller?

I bet Stefano and Marlena comes to fuck up your shit, and this saga continues. But I hope it works. Cos I went through related connectivity problems too, though not with 4 controllers. How many kids do you have!?!

@Oltman family minivan…

Ha. When I was looking to buy one about two years ago, there was no stock anywhere. Only ones I could find was on Amazon, second hand and expensive. I can confirm the generic ones are crap (disconnection issues). I think Takealot buys them from the China malls and they’re all the same.

Eventually I tried the 8Bitdo and it has been working perfectly ever since. I use it over a 10m USB cable and it uses little enough power to not have issues. I also connected my PS4 controller while the XBox controller was in for warranty, but can’t remember if I connected that to this or to the Bluetooth.
