Gamers,
Was there a game or games that you wanted very badly, and when you received it, the wait was worth it?
For me, that title goes to Saints Row: The Third, wanted it like a bear wants honey.
I was over the moon when I got to play it and then eventually own it!
One of the more recent games that I really wanted to get was Hollow Knight - and the wait certainly was worth it, I loved the game and 100% completed it.
The first time I felt like that was for Theme Hospital. Played the heck out of that game.
Thar honour goes to Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun. I’ve always loved the GDI vs NOD rivalry more so than the Soviets vs Allies (or ‘Murica vs China vs Iraq). I phoned Incredible Connection twice a week to find out when it’s being launched while I waited for it and got it on launch day. The isometric perspective blew me away, as did the voxel graphics and destructable terrain! I was in heaven for months after it launched…
Toss up between Saints Row 2, GTA IV and Assassins Creed.
oh ya and Oblivion.
…Sonic 2, Mortal Kombat 2 and Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo.
damn sequels.
