“Floating point number” is a term I’ve only come across in computer science to refer to the digital representation of fractions / non-whole numbers, e.g. 3.14159 is a floating point number, while 3 is an integer.
No, I think @Mottamort and @czc are correct. The superscript 3 in cubic millimeters is called the exponent or power.
You can also use the word “power” to describe the exponent in more detail, e.g. “ten raised to the twentieth power” or “ten to the power (of) twenty” — 1020.
The second and third power have special names, of course, so you don’t hear people say “raised to the second power” or “to the power of three”. It is usually just squared and cubed.

Hi all… wish me luck on my c-scope today, lets hope my liquid bowels for the last 6 months have been stress-related due to wedding and buying a house, and not something serious…

Im holding all the thumbs, we had a friend who thanks to a bladder infection found out he has a tumor on his bladder, luckily they managed to remove the tumor completely, and they have made sure that it didnt spread - he managed to be cleared from cancer just by the tumor removal - if it wasnt for the infection, they wouldnt have found the tumor and he would not have survived more than 2 years apparently.
Right now he is cancer free and clean bill of health - unfortunately he will be tested every 6 months for the next 5 years just incase

So THAT was short. Took a day leave only for it to be a consultation, not the procedure. I’m booked for 29th December…I don’t understand why I had a consultation with this guy when my previous doctor told me she’s making a c-scope appointment with THIS guy. Guess it explains why I wasn’t given instructions and bowel-clearing stuff to drink until now…
sigh…i took a day’s leave for this…
