Everyone around us is terribly sick at the moment. So stay away from any social contact and you’ll be fine. That and the fact that COVID cases in the Northern Suburbs rose by 78% the past week…
At least they got “Ohayōgozaimasu” right this time .
@Wyvern: You asked in a different topic — we are safely in Cape Town and staying in Claremont this time. The wrong side of the tracks, but still a beautiful house. From all the Raspberry Pis next to the TV, I can tell a techie lives here. =
I do miss my desk chair, though. Sitting in these kitchen chairs for a full day and then trying to game in them after hours is going to wear my back (and butt) thin. Is there such a thing as a portable office chair?
On a related note… Cape Town people: Why the hell was it raining yesterday when we drove into the city? You should really have a talk with your rain gods down here.
I’m not actually sure which platform we booked this place through, but something like that. We prefer to book holiday homes and AirBnBs rather than hotel rooms when we’re staying more long-term.
While driving down we stay in pet-friendly guest houses and such.
We ended up stopping by Decofurn and getting a compact, light chair without arm rests that fits nicely in our vehicle.
We’ve been to a few places where the chairs have been not-that-great for sitting and working all day, so having a backup that can ride along with us will be handy.
