The 10,000 Best Forum Posts on the Internet Right Now! (Part 1)

My year has started quiet, just found out the awesome 3rd job I got is now changing the terms of payment / reimbursement on me, which is understandable because the work load is a lot less, but still I am sad cos it will mean less money for me.

Also still searching for a new post. Cos end March I suspect dad will close this office.

But otherwise all is good! The weightloss seems to be on track even if the scale and I have disagreements :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks bud … I guess I can be lucky there’s no exams this year again, teacher assessments is it. Still hate the work, lol but I’ll check out the vid

I love lumpy melkkos! The more lumps and the larger they are, the better. I love chewing on the lumps and slurping the sweet, creamy “pap”.

In that regard, do you make lumpy custard too, or how about bechamel sauce?

Aww that sucks, bloody economy is so screwed up everywhere  I hope things just fall into place for you. I don’t even own a scale anymore … me and the last one had a bad breakup, such a bitch  But hey, I’m healthy and wanted, that’s what counts, especially in old age huh

No, custard and béchamel should be super smooth.

At least we can agree on that. And your mielie meal? (not talking about pap, that obviously has lumps). I mean traditional mielie meal as a porridge.

I usually make it smooth, but leaving it for a while automatically thickens it up and creates some lumps. I don’t mind smooth or lumpy “mieliepap” - I enjoy both consistencies. As long as it’s not super watery, I’m all good.

EDIT: Damn, now I’m in the mood for some mieliepap with a bit of butter and brown sugar…

Halllo!

I like melkkos too! But can never make it as the hubby does not eat it…

@Wyvern BTW you can eat it whenever. We had it for dinner in winter normally.

That sounds like a his problem :stuck_out_tongue:

But seriously, on a cool winters night, snuggle up next to him with a bowl full and see if he has second thoughts, after a taste of yours that is. (of course you wouldn’t have made enough if he then decides that he likes and wants some).

I do too, but I wish people would consider the returns they are promised and compare it to even being possible.

Yea I was once approached by a similar thing, it took me a few min of google to look it up and just confirm that it was a fail. Its just sad that some people can do these things and be ok with it.

Eskom is both depressing me and making me look (edit) forward to getting some sleep when I am supposed to work. As long as my employers don’t start asking me to work in hours overtime, I will manage.
