I’ve had success with just letting them talk while I continue to work. When they pause like they’re waiting for a response, or start asking “Are you listening?”, say “Oh, sorry, I didn’t hear. I’m very busy right now”

Or just politely remove yourself from that space.
“I’m sorry, I currently have a lot on my plate and I am trying to focus on getting X done. Could we perhaps catch up later?” … or never.

She doesnt work with me ironically, she works next door and has decided I am her best friend.
Now my best friend lives in kzn I haven’t seen her in a few years and that drives me nuts. But we don’t need to speak daily for us to be friends.

Is it just me or does it feel like the season has changed, pretty much over night?
The past two mornings I have woken up and it’s been rather fresh and the ground outside has been very cold under my feet. Not to mention it seems to be darker now when I wake up. Just feels strange as we’re still in February.

Hahaha we have a month of intermediate weather left, by April/Easter the rain should start.
But yea, it gets darker earlier at night again. Im not complaining, this is my fav time of year, the weather is just perfection - not too hot nor too cold.
