Well the old English equivalent would be, “Good morrow gentlemen”
Greetings members of the realm.
Greetings
How goes it sir?
bleh, a renal diet takes a lot of getting used to. Thankfully @Wyvern 's suggestion of a pan has helped, it fries nicely without much oil and a slight singe on meat and veg gives it some flavour.
I have had to give up chocolate ;-(, that hurts the worst. I only now realise how addicted I was!
So, I wonder if someones (yes, I pluralised it) may be able to assist in a little conundrum of mine…
So a requirement is to provide ways and means to duplicate something on a table (like duplicate a row), but the definition of duplicate is to make it exactly the same.
exactly like something else, especially through having been copied.
“a duplicate set of keys”
The problem comes in the form that the chosen row would be required to be copied (like as a template) and then the duplicate be changed or edited according to the user’s preference.
The dilemma I face is that the term “duplicate” literally means to make it the same, as does “copy”, so are these terms appropriate for their intended use? (i.e. to have a button that literally just says copy)
or perhaps I’m just over thinking it and analysing it in too much detail, won’t be the first time.
You can always “Clone” as well.
You’re evil.
Does pressing the button insert a pre-populated row that the user then needs to type over? Or does it insert a blank row that the user then fills using the initial row as an example of the syntax and content to fill in?
Either way, I think a little explanation text alongside the button (“Click the button to add your own info, etc…”) and then just label the button “Add Your Own” or something similair.
My interpretation is that its a duplicate at the time until someone modifies it.
That user CAN type over. The intended purpose is using that source row as a “template” - uypon opening that row you would be presented with its contents.
Well said, like I say, my UX sense force me to over analyse things at times
So then something like “Copy & Update” could work. (Again, with a little explanation tooltip or text box if needed. )
Thanks for the inputses.
Sup guys
I have a question. If my sick note says booked off from 08 - 10 does that mean on the 10th I have to go back to work?
Does your letter not say when your 1st day back would be? i would take it to mean that the 10th is also a sick day.
