I am planning to do that.

However there is apparently a way to diy it, but i dont wat to risk my cars warranty… The radios code is linux based, but that is way out of my league to try without bricking my radio

Morning you sexy fucks :mechanical_arm:

Got my fiber router yesterday but I can’t connect. It’s not accepting my PPPoE username and password :sob:

Sounds like an issue at the ISP.

I called them and there’s no issue on their side as well. I’m using the Tp-Link Ac750 router. Tried multiple times resetting it and doing the setup again without getting any results

Did they try resetting the password or anything? Did they check their logs to see if there’s an authentication error on their end?

Who provided the router? While I’m personally not a fan of TP-Link firmwares, but I doubt there’s a problem with their PPPoE implmentation.

Also, how is everything hooked up? Fibre -> conversion box -> router’s ethernet? SFP?

Just double check that when setting it up on your router, it is setup to use WAN connection, and not anything like adsl or vdsl. (this is an image from my d-link router, yours WILL look different but it can give you an Idea

Some routers have a “default connection” setting, make sure it is ticked for the WAN connection, and make sure after any change that you intend to keep, you pres “save” or “apply”. If you are still having some problems, get some internet to your PC( tether you phone perhaps) and make sure you are connected to your router, and if you want I can then remote in, or you can share your screen through discord, and I could help with the setup.

(I do this $h!t for a living XD)

They did reset the password and they don’t get an error on their side if I try to log on

No probs, just let me know, also did you tell your isp that you would set it up? Coz usually they are the ones that should set it up.

Was on the phone with them last night for about an hour and this morning as well. Trying to figure out why my PPPoE is incorrect according to the router but is correct on their system

Is it an ethernet cable going into the TP-Link? If you have another router, try it.
