I actually try and avoid phones in general. I don’t usually have a problem with answering, but I get anxious when I have to dial someone.

Honestly, speaking from an end-user support desk point of view, anyone who can’t find the Control Panel, or can’t create a suitable shortcut or Start Panel for it, has no business being in the Control Panel.
I’m talking people who use the search enabled address bar of their browser to “search” for Google, click on the Google link on the resulting page of Google search results, and then do their search in Google. 
Folks in this neighbourhood are generally pretty tech-savvy. I assure you, that’s not the norm. Many, probably even a majority, of Windows users definitely shouldn’t be in Control Panel unless they’re there with a competent guide. The Settings tool is more than enough - and even that causes regular phone calls asking for a “quick bit of help with my pc”. Two hours later…

To be honest I press the windows key these days and type control and the the thing shows up in the list. Easiest way.

I had a tech show up to install a new internet connection. He wanted to show me a piece of equipment on Miro’s website. It was so painful to watch. Seriously, just type in the .co.za in the URL bar… And this is the guy who wrote the automated fail-over script (that alternates their upstream providers when needed) that doesn’t work properly, so I guess I’m not too surprised.
