But its a hard game. Runs great though i get 120fps average

For me, peak Insurgency is playing hardcore checkpoint with 3 or 4 friends on a private server, armed with a PKM and a beer.

Hey hey

so im completing a recruitment agency questionnaire and they are wanting me to list what are my top 5 computer skills. What do you recon those could be considering they have already asked what kind of software i have worked on and how well I rate I am able to work on them.

I hate it when people put shit like that on their resumes, or ask questions like that. Cos there’s no way to effectively “measure” your effectiveness of a tool. The best you can do, in my opinion, is to give them an indication of what you prefer to use in terms of tooling, e.g. “efficient in MS Word” or “fundamental understanding of Adobe Illustrator”. What does a 7 out of 10 equal to in Photoshop? That is just arbitrary metrics guided by trends in the industry.

That’s why my CV says 95% in MS Excel, 85% in Solidworks. No one can challenge my arbitrary scale!

Ah, Excel. The glue that holds everything together.

We had a 3rd year student once upon a time that made this fantastic calculation in python for the boss. The boss promptly asked them to redo it in excel.

Excel is such a good program though…

I loooooove python, but if you’ve got a calc you need to 1) distribute to others to use, and b) need someone to maintain/modify every now and then and you don’t have a permanent python guru on staff, excel just makes more sense. I’ve seen a supposition online that reckons a skilled excel user would be able to build a flight simulator in it, and going on the amazing things our management accountant does in her spreadsheets, I believe that!

Meanwhile, people are all like “Can you help us with this spreadsheet?” and then I look at the VB in the macros and nope right outta there.
