Urgh… let’s get this week started, it’s gonna be a long-ass stressful busy week. Also, alwys a good start when your team members don’t show for their 1-on-1 but they were there for stand-up 5 minutes before.
@Tsar, are you getting the entire thing done in one sitting?
Make sure you’re in aircon, have water on hand and perhaps some sweets like jelly beans/babies or liquorice. 4 hours is doable but for a first it may also become uncomfortable. Be sure to post pics once done
Good grief for the past 3 months, they have been speed trapping on the one road near us - they place the camera on a downhill slope. One that is VERY difficult to slow down on. Thusfar I have been lucky to avoid a ticket. We have been petitioning to get that road specifically made in to a 70 not 60 since the incline is steep.
Ironically they have increased the limit on a few other roads similar like that. But still not on that specific road
Is that the road down Jip de Jager towards De Bron? If so, I’ve have to brake hard to keep my speed down to 60 there. I actually avoid that road entirely and rather drive through Kenridge these days.
Yup. That’s a terrible road to drive when you have to keep your speed in tact. Again, why I rather go through Kenridge these days.
Edit: what frustrates further is the fact that there are 3 lanes at some sections of the road. 3 lanes, no hidden in-roads and still 60 speed limit? Crazy…
Exactly! That is why we are fighting it, if Durban Road can be a 70, as well as the Plattekloof road, then Jip which is a thrufar should be as well. There is plans on developing the road and widening it to at least a 2 lane road.
Definitely, ironically most people in our area has stopped paying that specific fine. We will pay all other fines, but refuse that one since it just piles on, and they are slapping people with things from R400 - R2k, for 10/15km over the speed limit
