Interesting you should say that, we went to the PMB midlands mall today and it was PACKED with people buyng TVs, clothes and all kinds of things, even the jeweler had a queue, which I have never seen.

siiiigh the human race is doomed, someone just posted a whatsapp message on like an emergency whatsapp group, (a group usually to notify people of break-ins and the like) The message which was of whatsapp stealing all your photos and using it to make lawsuits against you, but if you forward it to 20 people you get “free-whatsapp” mode, which mill make your “ticks” green and your account will be safe, blah blah blah.
Now. I know none of you here are stupid enough to believe this sort of thing, but I do know, a bunch of bored gossiping housewives will believe this as they have nothing else to do and will of course forward the message to everyone. which saddens me to no end, and what makes it worse, is that shit like this is not new, these types of messages have been around for years especially those ones, that were like based off scary movies, where you had to send them to people to not get killed in a week or whatever.

I remember when AOL bought out ICQ. We had the same kind of messages being forwarded. This was in the late 90s. My friend got so sick of it, he wrote his own, including nukes being launched if you didn’t forward the message, all in good jest. Of course, I forwarded that one. One guy thought it was meant to be serious.

I don’t get how people think the text in a chat room will change settings. This whole WhatsApp thing kinda feels like the toilet paper situation
