Missed the logos on the halo. That makes it so much better. NOT!
Stays "uninspiredâ in my books, but I guess the livery really doesnât make that much of difference either way.

This is the old car with the new livery, right? This is not the whole new car?
That is correct, we will see the new cars at Barcelona testing
Weâll see them moving and hear the Merc in Barcelona, but we should see the ânewâ livery on the 2020 car this Friday. Today was really just a PR thing to announce the new partnershipâŚ
I just love how much red there is so far
Also canât wait to see if the Maccaâs are even better this year. I hope Williams can salvage something this season. I still think Haas made a huge mistake with Grosjean but hey maybe he surprises us?
4.5 Weeks till Aus!
We should see the first of the 2020 contenders tonight from Ferrari - both the livery and the actual car. (Post on their Twitter account pokes a little at Mercs livery only reveal: âMake sure youâre watching at 18:30 CET tomorrow for the FULL reveal of our 2020 challenger.â
Livestream at 18:30 CET / 19:30 SAST onâŚ
The FB page also links to there, and there is no dedicated Ferrari Scuderia YouTube channel, so am guessing thatâs the only place itâll livestream from.
Mission WinNowNow continues.
Just as a heads up in case you or anyone else thinking about it hasnât subbed yetâŚ
I read (on Reddit) last night that last year F1 TV put out a couple of short-lived discount codes around the time of the start of Testing and again before the first race. One was for as much as 50% off. Some were country or region specific though.
The suggestion was that they did that to drum up numbers for the first full season of F1 TV and they wonât do so again this year. Likewise, there was a counter suggestion that with so many new territories getting F1 TV Pro access for this year, they may do it again.
On the off chance that they do drop a discount code or two in the near future, it might be worth holding off on subscribing for as long as you can.
That said, at around R670, the annual pricing available to us here in SA for F1 TV Pro at the moment is comparatively pretty good already. The same features in Germany cost âŹ65 (R1060) and in the USA are $80 (R1200). The UK at ÂŁ20 and Australia at $42 are cheaper, but the service in those two does not include any Live Streaming at all, only the history videos and the live timing app.
Thanks @GregRedd, I appreciate it. I hope we get that discount. I wonder if there a Samsung Smart TV app for it.
thanks gregg,
let us know if anyone found the discount codes
Ferrariâs 2020 challenger - the SF1000 - has had itâs reveal.
At least they put in a little more effort to the reveal than peeling back a cloth drapingâŚ
Like the Merc yesterday, the livery is very similar to last yearsâ with perhaps a slightly more obvious use of the black base. The black trim looks good on the racesuits. The car number on the side fin is much more obvious now, and was that Italian flag striping on the side in front of the cockpit there last year? I canât remember it standing out so obviously. Curiously, my first thought was that there looks to be more black. That was immediately followed by âit looks more redâ. Go figure.
The car itself somehow looks longer again? I donât think it is though. Maybe itâs the slimmer rear thatâs making me think that. Other visible differences are the much more pronounced rake (very clear in the side view image) and whatever theyâve got going on with the bargeboards and the area around the sidepods. So many elements and bits and winglets and stuff. And I thought we were supposed to be getting much more simplified front wings? The front wing end plates also look different - thinner and longer perhaps?
3 liveries down, 1 car revealed. Tomorrow is Renault and Red Bull. Letâs see if RB go with a provisional testing livery again this year.
And the suitably artsy âDiscovering the SF1000â video is now also out:
Not official yet, but pretty reliable sources I guessâŚ
Also, neither the Red Bull or the Renault launches today are live. Social media and web releases only.
I wont lie his Insta is also looking like a happier man - with a new girl
NO! They will only distract him! Stay away girls!
For me the Ferrari is definitely more red - no more orange hint. The car itself looks good, I cannot wait to see all the fiddly bits.
As long as Ferrari keep the parts that made straight line good and changed the parts that made cornering and shitty tyre wear bad. Then I donât mind if itâs similar.
