Yes, we rather laughā€¦ itā€™s better than the alternative. Problem is Red Bull seems to be struggling this year as well, so easy one for Merc? I really hope Red Bull and Ferarri can pull it together. At least give the mense some competition man. Break the armour a bit like last year, then they become more human.

Did you guys see why Renault chose the brake ducts to take on the pink Mercedes?

Apparently the insides of it vary a lot for every team and no team knows what the inside of them look like for other teams. So if Racing Pointā€™s brake duct differs from Mercedes then Racing Point is fine. However if the inside looks the same as Mercedes then it means they had help from Mercedes.

Watching the last laps with the radio really makes me a) regret not going into motorsport as a career, b) wish that F1 2020 or AC or one of the others had decent Pit wall/race engineer support. Iā€™d love to have data in front of me that I could use to bark orders at you lot!

Ya itā€™s awesome to see just how much a role the engineer plays in the race. You can understand why the drivers always speak of any victory or success as the teamā€™s success. They know how dependent they are on the team.

I think my racing performance would be greatly enhanced having my own spotter/engineer!

But I guess they get to test last weekā€™s kit a bit more. Since they had none of that during the race.
