If Lewis were to quit, the easiest scenario for Merc would be to bring in Nyck de Vries from the Formula E team

Easiest sure. But would they really want two youngsters in their potential Championship winning car? Especially if one of them is an F1 rookie and doesnāt know how the team functions? It would make more sense to pay Alfa to get VB back (iām sure they wonāt mind a little ācontract renogotiation feeā 
) and have his Merc team experince back to help support and build Russell, than having two relative novices (at F1 Championship level) to look after.
Donāt get me wrong - de Vries is a talent, and will surely appear on the F1 grid in the future, but I donāt think heās quite ready to take over Hamiltonās seat. Besides, unless the decsision is made really, really soon, I dont think thereās enough time to integrate him into the team - the 1st Test for 2022 is just 2 months away (23 Feb), the season opener just 3 (20 March).
Perhaps they could look to slot de Vries into one of their customer cars, and get a more experienced driver that way? Iām sure any one of Lando, Danny Ric, Lance, or maybe even Seb, would jump at the chance to pilot the Merc, even if it was for just one season.

Schumacher and Ferrari - two names that are just meant to go together.
And glad that Gio is still going to be around the F1 paddock next year. Hopefully he gets at least a practice session or two behind the wheel of the Ferrari and shows that he deserves to be back in a full-time seat.

This is just disgraceful. Every one of these so-called fans needs to be tracked down and banned from all social media forever.
The sub-humans donāt even have the capacity to realise that theyāre sending their hate to an entirely innocent person.
Something else that is beginning to disturb me is the complete lack of response from Mr. We Race as One. 100% of the degenerates abusing Latifi, and seemingly anyone else they can find with a name even vaguely similar to Michael Masi, are Team LH44 fans. Lewis Hamiltonās continued silence in the wake of this behaviour stands in stark contrast to his supposed anti-racism and online abuse standpoint. I donāt give a damn how upset or slighted you feel about losing the Championship. The least he could do is use his very public and popular social media presence to call out his so-called fans and denounce them for the scum that they are.
