The Formula 1 Thread 🏎

I actually am liking it a lot.

Definitely the real car with a few little parts missing:

Yeah those side pods tells me it’s real(looks similar to Ashton Martin). I think the wing(s) is what most teams might change that show their real car. But sidepods not so much?

Suppose Alpha Tauri will also be a livery reveal today?
Hopefully less fashion show this time.

That’s a sexy looking car, if you ask me. Love the white paint around the cockpit that kind of alludes to the 50’s era cockpit openings.

First few seconds looked like a Daft Punk music video…

I have to agree with you, that is looking good!

I swear the FIA took a page out of South Africa’s “The Dummies Guide on How to Drag a Commission of Enquiry out for Fun and Profit”.

New points rules to avoid another Belgian GP fiasco:

From this season, a minimum of two laps by the leader – without a safety car or virtual safety car intervention – will be required in order for any points to be awarded, which means the 2021 Belgian GP would have zero points awarded if it were held under these new rules.

There will also be a scale for how many points are awarded and to how many cars.

If the leader has completed more than two laps but less than 25% of the scheduled race distance, the top five finishers will be awarded points on a 6-4-3-2-1 scale.

That will change to nine finishers on a 13-10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 scale if 25% but less than 50% has been completed by the race leader.

And if the leader has completed 50% but less than 75% of the scheduled race distance, points will be awarded to 10 drivers on a 19-14-12-9-8-6-5-3-2-1 scale.

And three Sprint Races confirmed for this year, with more points on offer for more of the finishers.

The sprint races will be held at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix at Imola, the Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring and the Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos.

There will be an increase in the number of points awarded to the winner from three to eight. Points will also be awarded to the top eight finishers, rather than just the top three, and allocated in one-point increments.
