Autosport also have a live blog going, but it is no different from the Motorsport.com one - only useful if that one is down, or if you prefer the Autosport.com aesthetic.
While I have strong opinions of the liveries of some teams, one thing I definitely can admit to; these new cars all look amazing! Like the profile just does it for me.
Aston running a very skinny front wing.
Williams with a thick wing in the middle skinny at the end. Hope this doesnât cause understeer in slower corners.
Haasâs wing makes me worry about it they spent last year wisely.
I was wondering if FOM and the FIA would do or even say, anything. Liberty Media are an American company, the FIA are French, most of the teams and there staff are European.
I know we donât mix politics and sport, but if the US, the European Union, and individual European countries apply trade sanctions against the Ruskies, surely F1 will have to comply?
Whereâd you find that? Sochi is still showing on the main site and on the F1 app. And no mention of Turkey anywhere there. That said, slotting Turkey in as an alternative would be good.
UEFA are probably also going to move the Champions League final from St. Petersburg. Itâs scheduled for May. The Russian GP is only scheduled for late September. Hopefully all this is well over by then.
Funny where people draw the line, depending on how much focus is on it at the time. Has fuckall to do with morals and everything to do with public spotlight/opinion.
yea no fair enough. I just find it ironic that the same ppl spouting human rights/BLM/LGBTQ+ go and race in these countries, but will now stand up and will boycott russia.
Iâm also not saying that what Russia is doing is right. Donât go put words in my mouth
Thatâs the last thing I want to put in your mouth
Just pointing out, in my own way, that I donât agree with your statement about Seb, nothing more sinister than that I do agree that they shouldnât race in China and Saudi, though.
The latest buzzword around the F1 paddock is âporpoisingâ. (I guess âdolphiningâ would sound just as bad, and besides, it was already takenâŚ).
Porpoising is when the cars start bouncing up and down on their suspension when reaching certain speeds on the straights.
(Insert clip of real F1 car porpoising here when fans are eventually allowed to see them in action. Soonâ˘)
It actually used to happen in the previous ground effect era too, but it seems teams forgot about it, or didnât think it would be as pronounced with these modern cars as it sounds like it is.
