Hoping Ferrari is better on the tyres tomorrow. but that was a fire sprintā¦ so many over takes. Sainz was klapping it! Merc not so much
But damn, that Red Bull really is fast on the straights.
60%-70% chance of rain before and during the race. I actually think Ferrari has gone for a wet weather race set up. Thinking the Tifosi are going to be very happy later today. Wet, but happy!
Noā¦ Not so happyā¦
Ugh, that was painful. Hopefully Ferrari can get a 1-2 at the Red Bull Ring
Im happy, Laaaaaannnnnndddddoooooo!
im happy Red bull team all the way
I share your pain, delayed as it is. Feel so bad for Carlos - dude has pissed some old Spanish grandma off and been cursed. Charlesā mistake was all his own doing though. Hopefully he learns from it. Theyāre back in Italy at Monza in September, so plenty time to apologise to the grumpy grandma, get the curse lifted, and come back to Italy with a 1-2 for the Tifosi.
Big props to Red Bull for their 1-2 - Max absolutely dominated the entire weekend when it mattered. And Lando too - right place at the right time. Although he probably had a momentary nervous flashback twitch near the end when they told him there may be rain in the last few lapsā¦
Still donāt get how Russell is managing to get something out of the Merc that Lewis just canāt seem to get a handle on. Yet. That neither Ham nor Gasly, both with DRS, could get past Albon (in a Williams!) amused me no end. And Lewis pointless for the first time in almost forever down in P13, while his significantly junior teammate is somehow finishing in P4 did too. That Toto and the Sky commentators continue to fawn over Hamilton and find any arbitrary reason to excuse his poor performance is equally amusing. And good on Nico Rosberg for not being drawn into the BS and calling them out for it.
Off to Miami to slap it Big Willie Style nextā¦
Yea i have to say i felt bad for carlos, dani just lost it on that curb.
Felt even worse for alonso with the cover breaking.
And bottas got pointsā¦
I lolād at Nico making a passing comment: āThereās Lewis not getting past Gasly for the twentieth timeā¦ā
Dude, thisā¦
Also yeah, Charles pushing too hard again, he needs to unlearn that. But heās still young and hasnāt had much time at the top. Carlos, damn, that was just super unlucky, and he gets stuck but Ricciardo manages to drive out he felt super bad though, looks like he went to the Ferrari office to go apologise.
I felt like Alonso was going to do great this weekendā¦ and thenā¦
As disappointing as it was I think Leclercās mistake was the best thing for him. A stern reminder that a championship is a marathon and not a sprint and that sometimes you need to settle for the points you can get and not get greedy for more.
āI believe that the spin shouldnāt have happened today, I mean P3 was the best I could do. We didnāt have the pace for much more,ā he told Sky Sports F1.
āI was too greedy and I paid a price for it and lost seven potential points compared to my third place I was before. So it is a shame, itās seven points that are valuable at the end of the championship for sure. This shouldnāt happen again.ā
As weāve seen time and again heāll come back wiser and stronger.
Some of these were brilliant!
Props if you get the reference for this one:
Yeah I actually agree, and its early enough in the season so he can recover from this.
I donātā¦now i have FOMO :ā(
Oh damn I actually forgot about this, didnāt know it was a meme though hahaha.
I think i slept through that bitā¦which means i saw as much of the action as anyone else did
Max is world Sportsman of the Year!
Oopsā¦
New circuit, untested track limits, DRS zones, pit lane. Theyāll have to appoint Herbie Blash temporarily, and promote the Deputy Race Director. Or make an awkward call to Micahel Masi.
