Its race time !!! Soon it will be live maybe next year
Shoosh you
At least got the genny up fast for the race
ahhh what a bummer that engine of Carlos basically exploded
Yeah thing proper Granaded. Marshalls took forever to get to the car. Carlos was getting toasty in there. Massive bummer, that Ferrari 1-2 was so on. But at least happy that Le Clerc got back to winning ways(not without some drama at the end)
At least the Maccas scored points. IT was a decent race.
That 5 man battle for 8th dou⌠Damn⌠This seasonâs racing is great. 5 into one corner and no crashes
I had wondered if it was going to be one of the duller races with Verstappen easily taking the win but I was pleasantly surprised by Ferrariâs pace. Pity about Sainzâs engine going up in flames and it was a stressful last few laps with Leclerc having issues with the accelerator pedal but thankfully he got the win. There was also plenty of action on track, some excellent battles throughout the race.
Shout outs to Mick making Hamiltonâs life hard once again hehe.
I mentioned this yesterday to some people, but the F1TV commentators calling the podium a ârostrumâ is like rugby commentators calling the flyhalf the âfirst five eighthââŚ
Iâm a little miffed with the F1TV commentary lately. I think theyâve somehow lost a bit of the magic they had last year with their newer lineup.
Donât get me wrong, I love Palmer for his technical analysis, and Sam for his engineering insights, but it kinda feels like the team now donât have any energy but also miss important things happening and have to catch up. I might be judging to harshly, since I did also notice the the F1TV data channel (which I believe is identical to the one they use) was acting up something fierce throughout the race. At some point they switched it back to quali mode since the tyre data was just a mess.
Do the F1TV commentators travel to the circuit with each race?
F1 Twitter is as on fire this morning as a Ferrari doing well in a race.
I would not put much faith in that yet, as the original source is a random twitter account with credibility being that they âheardâ Gasly would get the 5 sec penalty on SundayâŚ
I looks like other outlets picked up on their tweet, and ran with it. However, some of these secondary outlets might have figured that the horse has bolted, so we might as well start talking about it:
OG source:
Rebukes!
F1 Paddock Insider, a twitter account that is days old, so definitely is a legit source, reckons tickets will be R3000 minimum. Or R5000.
Given all the evidence presented, I can only conclude that much like at a Ferrari strategy meeting, no one knows what the fuck is happening.
Lol. There probably are some people who know what is happening. Theyâre just not on Twitter at the moment. Agree that until itâs official, itâs not worth getting overly excited about anything.
The two local F1 Twitterati that I follow that I would consider reasonably well informed, connected and reliable are @F1Sasha and @JunaidSamodien_ - been following and working with them for ages since my Formula Fan days. Theyâre both recommending patience:
@F1Sasha is the one that Iâm most disappointed in, in all of this, for redistributing the very much unconfirmed news and by doing that, giving it more weight. When I saw him tweeting about it, I initially thought weâd have something solid, but alas.
Yeah, tracked back in his feed and saw that. Funny how easily even the most rational can sometimes get caught up in the hype. Trust but verify should be the approach I guess.
