Top marks for COTA.

Lots of new names for the graphics team to put up during FP1 today.

I’m amazed and horrified that the first one hasn’t been a standard thing forever?

That was a brilliant race in the end. Between Lando and Seb and the rest of the middle pack, there was loads to see.

The Alonso penalty is ridiculas tho

Frikken load shedding last night started at 8. Struggled to get a decent mobile signal to watch the start on the laptop via hotspot. Managed to get things set up as the formation lap happened. Only to see the doos in the Merc take Carlos out on the first corner. Was mad as a snake when Russell came back with his “he turned into me” kak.

At least Chuck Leclerc managed to have a solid race, but George’s points should be allocated to Carlos instead. :grinning:

Highlights reel full of only Seb and Fernando would work for me. Legends.

Vettel’s last lap was insane, he was sending it so hard, highlight of the race for me. He was 3s behind Mag with 2 laps to go.
I walked away during the last safety car, came back an almost couldn’t believe Alonso’s car was still going after that crash. The aero must have cushioned the landing, I don’t know how his front suspension didn’t collapse.

Also, Conor Moore was at the GP

Ahead of Audi’s arrival, Alfa Romeo will end their title sponsorship of Sauber at the end of the 2023 campaign. The Swiss team will continue to use Ferrari power units through to the end of 2025, before taking on Audi power for the following campaign.

So does that imply they’ll go back to being the plain old Sauber F1 Team and branding, and enter as the Sauber Ferrari F1 Team for 2024 and 2025?

Georpedo doing a Reddit AMA on Friday. Pretty sure he is going to just ignore all the “If Sainz crashed into you on lap one and ended your race after the first corner would you be satisfied with a 5 second penalty?” and the “Hey George, why do you never admit your mistakes on track?” questions. Or they’ll be purged beforehand. Either way, good luck George.
