I think we used to have something like this back on the site-which-must-not-be-named. A thread for sharing praise for good service that we have received from a particular company or organisation. This way we can let people know about those that go the extra mile and are worth supporting. It can also be helpful for getting recommendations on where to go when you need something.
I’ll kick this thread off with a word of thanks to ISPAfrika. A few months ago I switched over from using Openserve fibre to Vumatel. My Openserve line was with ISPAfrika but I was looking at going with another company as they were offering a free installation promotion. When I let ISPAfrika know that I was cancelling to move over to a Vumatel package they made me a counter offer with a better price for faster speeds and would also match all the promo benefits that I would get from the other company. I was convinced and decided to go with them.
Because my switch over was after the debit order run I was still billed for my Openserve line which had me worried that I would be double paying after the Vumatel package was activated but they only started charging for the new package from the following month - so I scored a small saving from that.
Lastly, and most importantly the quality of the uncapped package is great. No shaping or slowdowns, just fast internet so I am a happy camper.
So what good service have you had lately that you would like to share?
Our complex has Fibre internet from Macrolan , its a smaller Company they seem to be more Business orientated than home users so I don’t see them advertised around much , their price is good and the service is excellent, The line never goes down and never is below the speed it should be, their support is super responsive as well.
Iin the beginning before the fibre back-haul was complete we had long range wireless from them and it was the best wireless I have had from an ISP to date and that’s feeding internet for the entire complex mind you.
If you ever have a chance to use them try them out.
Service levels have dropped at a scary level. I just spent 20mins phoning the Incredible connection at Tygervalley - to find out if they have a tablet in stock - the website said yes - the woman who finally dained to speak to me (after hanging up 4 times) told me no. So ordered online.
Same with Takealot - they have no idea what their stock is - their description of their Huawei Tablets have been so wrong, that I had to confirm before placing an order - and I am still waiting for them to let me know.
It’s hard to comment on good service when all you get is bad service. I’ve been struggling for 3 weeks now to get the rental agency’s maintenance guy to give me feedback on my issue. The guy seems to be allergic to emails and or phones and when i contact their admin department they just give me high blood pressure.
Random place, but the garden centre called Eckards Garden Pavilion Bedfordview is amazing, im big into gardening and the people there are super helpful and informative… especially a guy named Victor
