Has anyone given it a go?
It looks like it is plants then a grid system and you pick a block to fight in and then defend against the saliens.
I’m on level 2 now but don’t think I could ever do one of those blocks on my own. It does say I’ve been entered to win on of the games listed though.
I don’t think theres any way a single person can do a block. much like the idle-clicker type game they brought out last time with the damage you do to bosses and waves etc, this is definitely a group effort thing. but yea, i’ve done a couple. with a mouseclicker you can do “high” threat from like lvl 1 which lets you level up alot faster 
I play it every evening for the card and item drops. I just click and spam the special ability key the whole time
I’ve tried a bit as well, but this gets me down:
I’ve lost so many XP because of this error, I’m also still on lvl 2
Also struggled tonight. At least I got enough cards to craft the badge. So now I’m not too concerned about cards for the rest of the sale.
Is there any way to see what cards people need? The Badge Progress page shows me who has the cards I need, but I is there a way to see what cards they need in return so that I can offer a useful trade?

Well, my game is thoroughly broken. Every time I click play, I get the error that the game will restart. I started after I was on a planet and the planet was cleared, so I clicked “Leave Planet” and it just gave an every time (er-result 10 in the network trace, in case anyone is wondering). So I booted it up via Chrome, clicked play, and it started puking on me every time I wanted to play. Went back to the Steam client and now the same happens there.
Same thing with me this morning. Landed up stuck on the same planet over and over. “Leave Planet” button did nothing, same error message over and over.
I see that they are adding more High threat zones which is good. Those seem to go quickly and the Low threat zones are boringly easy.
Problem.
I don’t have the mobile authenticator thing so the trade will be held for 15 days. I don’t want to mess you around so I won’t accept the trade.
I stopped the game, they only give 100 away per game. I have 0 chance. So If anyone wants cards I will check here first and donate
yeah since most people are using userscript to farm.
