Naw I am just sad about it and very frustrated that he is not accepting responsibility for why we broke up. He thinks its a recent thing, but its been building up for over a year already - and when I tried to have the convos with him, he withdrew, walked away and not talked. So Im just really surprised he didnt realise that the no talking was me mirroring his behaviours.

Anyone here in the building or civils industry?
I need people to talk to as real-world users to understand mental models, along with a typical BOQ (this can be unpriced, or even old/stale). It’s worth noting that I am not interested in any intellectual property, and simply trying to understand how people think and operate.

I have buggerall influence anywhere, and I resent the implication.
But more seriously, no, I’m mechanical and reliability engineering, so my knowledge of civils is around the bi-annual structural inspections that are mandated in the mining industry and how that feeds into a maintenance and reliability system. I talk BOM’s, not BOQ’s.
Less seriously again: Mechanical Engineers build missiles, Civil Engineers build targets.
At varsity I tutored the Dynamics module, all about how to describe physical objects’ movement mathematically, and use that mathematical model to predict movement. In tutoring, I learned that Civil Engineering students had to take Dynamics in their 3rd year, which I found very odd. In my experience when a Civil Engineer gets to worrying about dynamics, the time for worrying about dynamics has long since passed.
