The Expiry Date of Grief
In English we say:
Time heals all wounds.In poetry we say:
Wounds are wrapped in the cadence of a beating heart—
not a construct with a start and end,
but an abrupt point.
The weight of a moment
measured by the heaviness on my chest,
the shortness of breath.If time is supposed to heal all wounds, then why does
a sound, a smell, an action
swallow the present
and shift my dimension
to a place, and a person,
that no longer exists?I breathe—
one, two, three.A moment,
a memory,
a wound.
Frozen.I am nothing if not forced
to create a patchwork of life,
synchronous,
sewn together by the ties
of grief’s expiry date.

So my pc finally died last month and since I don’t have the budget at present for a new setup I’ve decided to go the AliExpress youtuber route and got a 10 core 20 thread Xeon with motherboard and 16gigs of ddr4 for R1300, I’m sure it won’t be much worse probably alot better than the 8th gen i5 8500 I was running

Ordered on the 1st delivered yesterday, at first I got nervous when I saw the courier is speedaf as the have a 1star on hello peter but they only handled shipment to SA this time and courier guy did the local delivery, speedaf is sketchy however they charged me about R500 for customs duties and if that was done via SApO it would have probably been half but taken 3 times longer
