Stupid EA. Tried changing my profile picture last week to one I use here (and just about everywhere). Didn’t take and I found a bunch of warning emails from EA the next day saying that they’d really like it if I wouldn’t try uploading an “inappropriate image” as my profile picture. WTF?!
The only thing vaguely inappropriate about this image is how uncannily accurate it is.
I changed my username at the same time to test if it wasn’t perhaps just an issue with the whole profile system. It wasn’t. The name change stuck no problem.
Now, I want to change my nickname and my username back to GregRedd. But I can’t because…
??? For serious bruh?
And now I can’t change my username back either because it’s not “a valid EA ID”?

I was hoping to spoil my wife for her birthday and have a dinner date but this deposit to secure to secure your table is mental. I hope that the deposit comes off the bill or is returned?

Yeah, the deposit paid should be offset against your bill. Pretty common practice these days, particularly for busy, upmarket places, and especially on weekends. They want to avoid holding tables for people who either cancel very late on the day, or simply don’t pitch up.
That said, it’s common to charge 50-75% of an average guest check as a deposit, so I’d be sure to check the menu and the prices before committing that much to the deposit. Sure it’s easy to spend R500+ per person on a fancy meal with some nice wine, especially in CTown, but be sure that’s what you want to do and that there’s things on the menu that you feel will make it a worthwhile dinner.

I think TTK is considered “fine dining” to which my wife has never had the pleasure of experiencing, so it would be a treat, and I am fully aware of their menu pricing. I was mostly concerned about the reservation and fixed menu being separate costs, as I am not accustomed to these practices.

So my physio treatment has gone well and is complete, I no longer have pain but she does suggest me to get an X-ray done to try determine why I am experiencing the numb sensation in my leg. At least I am pain free, for now, just expericing the pain in my bank account.

If you have a medical aid, I believe there are certain therapy sessions that are covered under the prescribed minimum benefits (PMB). So maybe reach out to find out if you can be reimbursed?
