I’m working right through, just taking off a day for DnD, two days for Christmas and maybe taking a day for my birthday.
But to be fair I will have a ton of “time off” in January (aka no work no pay) 
so I have zero complaints. I am very fortunate to get so much time off between the crazy work contracts. And as December progresses, the traffic gets better and better, which I love.
Also, Jake’s girlfriend, Valkyrie, is coming to stay with us from Sunday until 5 January. She’s a multi time national champion Malinois, and she and Jake are crazy about each other.

I only have around 11 days of leave so I am working right up shutdown on 22 December to 5 January.
- My family is flying to KZN this weekend, Sunday, and I will join them on 23 Dec.
- My oldest son is going with my step-dad to the Kruger Park for two weeks, it’s our first Christmas without him, feels weird.
- We will be spending Christmas with my in-laws.
- We will be spending New Years with my dad.
- I will be flying back on 5 Jan. and family will follow on 10 Jan.
