Morning people of the palace
A gentle reminder to keep insurance for your rigs, consoles and game collections up to date folks. I hope this poor soul did:
That hurt ma’ soul

Insurance is good advise though
So not being much of a front-end guy, I’m trying to figure out jQuery.
Basically, I have a long list of URLs, with a couple of buttons next to it. The button will need to hide the whole line (I’m assuming I’ll have to put each line in its own div tag and do a slideUp or slideToggle), and then do an ajax call to my REST api, and upon successfully running the code on the backend, an undo link should show up in the top right corner.
I’m struggling to find some good examples/tutorials to work from. Anybody have anything they can think of that might help?
Its been a while since I messed around with it.
Closest I can think of is similar to a to do list.

Don’t know if that helps
Not 100% of what I need, but it certainly will help get me going with a few of the things I need to implement.
Thanks!
Edit: Having the HTML/CSS/JS side-by-side is a massive help!
It’s sad that in a backwards town like Loeriesfontein, segregation still exists.
Low-key racism is not hard to come by.
Looks like a small town in the middle of nowhere.
It is fairly small, and in the middle of nowhere…
As dangerous as Cape Town is, it’ll always be home to me.
be glad you dont stay in spoegrivier
I though you made that name up, A google later and nope not made up. wow what a small place.
The apparent lack of English-speaking people will make it a nightmare…
At least some folk here understand English and sometimes try to communicate in English.
Hi, @Donisia! Good to hear from you… Thanks for checking in!
I don’t want to make promises my sleep deprived body can’t cash… but tonight, I run my supersecret Secret Santa assignment script.
Friends, be good to yourselves and to those close to you, shit can and does go wrong from one moment to the next.
One minute you’re having a wonderful dinner with friends and family to break the Yom Kippur fast, the next you’re dashing off to go help your mother-in-law and her boyfriend who’ve had a pretty hectic car accident on their way home.
Robot was out at the intersection. Chop in bakkie cruised straight through as they turned into it. Thank all manner of deity the airbags, seatbelts and crumple zones did their thing and no major injuries. That said, old folk bodies are pretty fragile and there’s a concern now that the seat belt may have squashed my MIL’s heart and fractured her shoulder. We’re still at the ER going on 3 hours now waiting for scan results before they decide whether to admit or not.
Like so many things, 30 seconds either way and all would be good. The sad irony is that the entrance to her complex is literally 30m from the intersection.
My thoughts are with you and yours, I am hoping for a positive outcome!
