Thanks for all the support y’all. Will definitely pass on all the wishes.

Got back from the hospital about 3:30 to grab a couple of hours sleep and then sort the kid out for her test day at varsity now.

MIL has a badly fractured collar bone, and more seriously, the compression force from the seatbelt on her heart has caused something called a cardiac ischemia. From what I understand, one of the valves was squashed closed and then wasn’t able to reopen properly which reduces her heart’s ability to pump her blood properly. She’s been admitted and will hopefully see a cardiologist soon.

Hopefully it’s something that can be solved without surgery. After her chemo treatment early this year, her body and immune system may not be able to handle that much. We wait and see.

:hugs: to you all! Now go and share them with someone!

Strongs, @GregRedd. Let me know if there’s anything we can do from Centurion. I have a sword. Happy to go full Morpheus on that bakkie.

I hope everyone is alright.

Its scary how many people I’ve heard of that have had big accidents so close to home.

@GregRedd My thoughts are with your family, with regards to the cardiac ischemia, if you guys have questions, please pm me - I can pass it on to my mum. The most important thing is to speak to the docs and make sure they explain everything to you guys properly and in layman’s terms. I know its scary, but it will be all ok. Please also do me a favour - when they do decide on meds - make sure they do not give any Statins - that stuff does more damage than good.

Praise the Flying Spaghetti Monster and all his peers and counterparts. Mom-in-Law’s heart issue is sorted, cardiologist has given her the all clear. Collar bone break is pretty bad, needs to be kept immobile for at least 6 weeks but that’s manageable. She’s going to move back into our place for a while so we can keep an eye on her and play low cost Uber, but she’ll be okay.

Thanks again for all the wishes and support. you all long time!
