Hey, you are in my valley now. Well actually I’m on the other side of the highway. I drive a short bit on Beyer’s Naude every day. It’s the pits.
But if I remember correctly MyBroadband used to be there by Cresta so you know this area.

Indeed! MyBroadband’s old offices were in Cresta. They had moved to Midstream Estate by the time I joined the company, though. But I’m not a complete foreigner to this area.
I do wish we had a rapid rail link from Pretoria to here like we do with the Gautrain to Sandton. The traffic is just unbearable if you have to do anything in Johannesburg in the morning and you stay North of wherever the event is.

I’m in stitches here…
I checked our website today to add a user, because the current guy doesn’t know what he’s doing. September’s promo is still up. I also see the latest divi themes changed the look and feel drastically.
So I put the new screenshots in the documents, email all relevant parties about the change, and that the promo needs to be updated.
Get a call from the guy I’m trying to replace on the content end of things. Starts talking about how he sees that the September promo, is still up, and the interface (not using the proper terms, mind you) is different. I let him go on for a minute or two, playing ignorant on the email I just sent out.
He finally asks for help, and I ask, “Did you read the email I sent out?” Hilarity ensued.

Sorry, I didn’t mean to leave you all hanging. I just couldn’t come up with a way to describe what happened after I enquired about the email that would give it justice.
Then it hit me. It basically turned into a “Jeopardy for Babies” with him regurgitating the whole email in the form of a question.

She’s actually doing pretty well now, thanks for asking. Still in the sling for her broken shoulder for at least another month, but her pain level is much better. She went back to her place and back to work on Monday - getting a lift there and back from a colleague.
And in even more positive news, she had her 6-month post chemo checkup yesterday and her cancer markers are perfectly stable and well below the concern range, which is also excellent news. No reason why she shouldn’t remain cancer-free from here on out.

What the heck is going on with the DA? Own goal after own goal. I’m wondering how much of Maimane’s “indecisiveness and poor ability to lead a diverse party” was as a result of being hampered by internal party squabbling and resistance from the DA old guard, and how much was his own shortcomings? And how long before he returns with another new splinter party to further dilute the opposition?
How long before we see the NDA (New Democratic Alliance) with Musi Maimane, Phumzile van Damme, and Aunty Pat at the helm?
