How long can you wait to renew your vehicle licence once it’s expired?

Until you get pulled over and fined and/or get your car impounded. Just go to the post office to renew it.

Jip but there is a limit to it, I think like after 12 month you have to put the car through a roadworthy test again as well, but I’m not sure

The penalties are quite hectic - had a mate pay R2k for his vehicle after a year not being registered
And he had to since it was the only vehicle the fam had and they had a baba on the way - so rather safe than sorry
