“This is not the greatest topic in the world… this is just a tribute”

Eventful night. Folks are away and got burgled at 9pm. I was on site until midnight. Broke a window, ran through, grabbed a TV and ran out a side door. Yay.
Just glad they were not home…

Sucks. Sorry to hear, and glad the folks weren’t at home at the time too.

Evening. Missed the day, loadshedding non stop. Sigh.

My loadshedding just got done. And then I got a BSOD when I put my PC on. Almost died (but incidentally I didn’t). Trying to get Demon Souls working on emulation and it’s ball ache of note.

None of this is relevant to you, but you were the first guy I saw so I thought you’d like to know.

Morning

No problem  anytime. My ps4 showed that it was corrupted after the one round of loadshedding. Luckily it did a scan or something and is good again.

Ps. Does anyone know what is needed to keep my internet online when they cut our power? It’s a fibre connection. Obviously I can keep my router on, but will the upstream still work? Are there electronics at the junction boxes that need power? Or does the fibre go all the way back to an isp node or something that still has power.

Im asking because our cell towers go down every time we go off so was thinking of trying to keep the fibre online.

I think some of them have battery backup. Its a problem because the batteries get stolen.

I had trouble with Telkom LTE yesterday while we were out and about. Terrible download speeds, but OK upload speeds.

When I used a VPN (Cloudflare’s WARP 1.1.1.1 thing), download speeds were fine.

Definitely something wrong on Telkom’s network yesterday. At least where we were.

I’m stuck in a time/space continuum - someone help?

If you get Demon’s Souls working, please provide me with step-by-step instructions for doing so. I still have my game but not my PS3 and I would like to mess around a bit before the remaster comes on PS5 (wishful thinking right now, but I’m confident it will happen).

I’m afraid your body is only built to operate within a space/time continuum.

Morning guys :mechanical_arm: Hope you all had a lekker weekend and that you take this week by the balls

The game is not going to do us much good without Blu Ray drives to extract it. There does seem to be other ways of working with the emulator.

I’ll try and figure it out before work today and let you know.
