“This is not the greatest topic in the world… this is just a tribute”

This is one of the hardest lessons I’ve had to learn.

The same is true for people who are so completely certain about something and then pick a fight with you to “debate” an issue, i.e. they become crazed about defending their belief.

(Hrm… I’m not completely getting the nuance of this across. It is actually difficult to tell if someone is looking for a good faith discussion or a fight. There is nothing wrong with debates between people with firm opinions on an issue, so long as there is a mutual respect or at least an intention to engage the points being raised. It all comes back to what @murfle said about listening.)

Crazies, and people who are absolutely unmovable in their resolve about an issue. Fighting them is a waste of air.

G’morning, y’all.

Ok can anyone help with resetting a MS password when you cannot log in?
Weirdly I can log in on live.com no issues or is that a totally different password

This is a very weird bug, @Wyvern. It’s almost like there’s some kind of drive or RAM failure that’s mangling things.

Your Microsoft password should work on live.com and outlook.com, so if it is not being accepted on the login screen, then something else is going on.

Should be the same across all the MS services - one MS account and password should get you onto Office, Xbox, Microsoft Store, Game Pass, Mixer, etc., etc. (you can personalise the various services individually, like different Gamer Tag on Xbox, Channel name on Mixer, etc, but the initial login account details should be the same).

Best place to manage your “main” MS account is from https://account.microsoft.com/

The problem with having around 4.5 TB of storage space in total combining all my HDDs, when it comes time to do a bit of a full virus scan it takes a really really long time XD.

Been going 12 hours with 1m items scanned and still not done. only 14 detection’s so far which is good.

Same, I dont think it was changed, but I did reset it myself incase
I also reset my administrator password for the pc

The only big thing I did to my pc was download those fling trainers but windows quarantine them before I even opened them so I removed it completely.
The other thing was I tried a few drivers out to make an old webcam work, but I made sure to check with Nima if it is a safe site - he also sent me a link for a driver - but we couldnt get it to work

If the webcam drivers aren’t compatible with Windows 10 (or are just plain dodgy), you can try IP Camera software for your phone. Or a phone.

You don’t need to buy it, to keep using it. No license just limits the camera options, like framerate and resolution, i think. Which ever video client you’re using, the phone will show up as a video source.

We told the coworker to just use his phone

But now the boss has a bee in his bonnet so this will not go away. He will harp on this for the forseeable future

I think your boss is the type of person that pushes on a door, that’s marked, pull.

So in case anyone was wondering, I know I’m not the only one scratching the dregs of the booze cupboard, yes it’s perfectly fine as long as the seals in tact. Passed it’s prime, but drinkable ie you won’t die.
