So its not a massive issue, I had a Centurion Vector 2 gate motor installed for a swing gate. Closing its ok but when it opens its like a whiplash or bouncing thing the gate does when full open. I had the pole bolted to the wall and the pole stays fixed but you can see it moving.
I set the gate to swing open slowly but its quite a shocker when it opens. I can take a video when the gate opens to see as I dont think my explanation is good.
