THQ Nordic (formerly Nordic Games) has been on a major buying spree these past few years.

Because people are more likely to buy into a game / movie / series if it’s part of an established franchise. At least in the hype and release phases, which the entertainment industry bargains and capitalizes on. If it turns out to be a pile of doodoo, they at least made some money from it befire the critics and community rip it to shreds.
