We should maybe get an interview for an article.
Backed!
When I got there she had no backers but I see she has 6 now. May she do well. I can see she has done a ton of work on that game.
Best of luck Ragel!
I contacted her and asked her to come pay as a visit. An interview would be great.
Great. Let me know if you need help with anything.
I’ll go check out the link now. Need to wake up first b
$280k is a lot of funding. Hope she makes it though, I see it is for a duration of 2 months.
The benefit of a South African made multiplayer game is that RSA servers are guaranteed! Glad to see that.
Saw this in the past week and wanted to surprise ya’ll with an interview. Was not expecting anyone else to spot it. Nicely done, @z1oc!
I’ll contact Ragel and see if she’d like to chat.
I hope she makes her goal - looks like an excellent pitch and the amount of work already put into the project is top quality. Wish the audience reach on Indiegogo was larger though. She’s competing against all those game projects on Kickstarter with its significantly larger audience.
I wonder if it would be beneficial for local developers to set up addresses and bank accounts in the US / UK just to be able to pitch their projects through Kickstarter to get their projects much more exposure?
lol sorry
Just got notified that Unearthed’s campaign has been closed and my pledge will be refunded as the funding goal wasn’t reached. Was the same thing for Jengo last month. Would still be interesting to hear from her to get thoughts on what went wrong with the campaign, and to hear what the future plan is for the game.
Sad to see local developers not getting very much support for their games - Unearthed’s page shows just $500 raised over the two months. That was on Indiegogo. Jengo was on Fig. Both were, imo, excellent pitches. I do still wonder if there’s a legitimate way for developers to setup US-based bank accounts or find US-based partners in order to be able to use Kickstarter for the fund raisers.
Yeah she asked that I hold back the interview until she relaunches the campaign for Comic Con and rAge. Strike the iron while it’s hot and all that.
Working on a Jengo piece too. Hoping they get back to me because I’d love to write about what really happened there.
