Not Cyberpunk 2077.
7 Years of hype will do that. Pity I can’t actually play it. If they don’t actually even acknowledge the key remapping issue I’ll probably refund it tomorrow.
It’s surprising that a PC developer would not account for full key remapping.
I see one guy on the forum you linked to came up with a solution
I might have found a temp fix for this.
I edited the ini file and made it read only, that worked (so far).
UserSettings.json can be found here %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077
Open with Notepad++ or text editor.
Look for the “SettingsLocomotion” part of it.“value”: “IK_Up”,
“default_value”: “IK_W”“value”: “IK_Down”,
“default_value”: “IK_S”“value”: “IK_Left”,
“default_value”: “IK_A”“value”: “IK_Right”,
“default_value”: “IK_D”Should look like this.
Replace IK_W value with IK_Up and so on, upper and lower case need to be correct or they wont work.
Save file - make read only - hope it doesnt cause any issues along the way, seems to work for me (for now)
Yeah I know about the file editing, but there are way too many keys that need to be rebound and I just don’t feel it’s worth the effort.
I fully agree with @MetalSoup on this one. Not catering for key binding or remapping is a huge oversight in a time where inclusivity and accessibility is paramount. This was very much a matter of being shortsighted.
I finished Call of the Sea this weekend.
Next up is Sea of Solitude for Wednesday. With a name like that I cannot not play it.
Thoughts? How long to finish?
It was good. Nice story and atmosphere. Looks gorgeous. It’s a puzzle game though so only play if you like that sort of thing. Was quite short. About 5 hours I think.
It hasn’t grabbed me yet. I made it through Chapter 1 and got some ways into the next area, then I got bored with it.
