Stopped playing Black Desert Online, got to the point where it was just a mindless grind. Playing Subnautica Sub Zero with the aim of finishing it (been playing it on and off for 2 years, restarting every time something new is added). Downloading Craftopia on xbox pass for PC, will hit that next.
16 days to go to New World!
Just finished Persona 5 Strikers. Amazing game.
Finished at around 83+ hours. Even beat the Reaper without taking a hit on Hard difficulty. All that extra time in the velvet room paid off. Unlocked NG+, started Merciless playthough.
Ya, I’m about to play the tutorial level for the 3rd time in an attempt to beat the first mini-boss.
I’ve been going through Metroid Zero Mission, in anticipation for Dread. What a game. I forgot how brilliant it was. I’m close to the end and will probably play Samus Returns next.
Been playing a LOT of No Mans Sky. How can this be the same game released 5 years ago???
Finished Orcs Must Die 3. We need more levels and more traps though.
Didn’t finish Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. First finished some side quests and especially completed the anomalies, but now I’m done. Next weekend I’m going straight for the ending. Already started the final area (to target Fulke).
Haha do I have a surprise for you. The game just keeps on going. The ending is quite a bit away.
I am also playing through Risen 3!
Really thoroughly enjoying it.
It’s tough but I play Witcher style: Do crazy preparations before venturing out. Levelling up Alchemy and Ranged combat mostly. Have not touched melee. Decimate all things with a shotgun. lol
Update:
It wasn’t 83+ hours, it was 88!
After skipping the countless tutorial cut scenes, I got to the first elite (not mini-boss) and had no problem taking him out. I was lucky enough my Thor persona, whose main attack is lightning, the elite’s weakness, is also strong against physical attacks, which meant no one-hit kills. Not that I let him hit me this time around.
I can tell I’m going to hate/love this playthrough!
At the moment I’ve added two games to my roster, but still currently playing:
Cyberpunk 2077
Humankind (yes I reinstalled)
F1 2021
Surviving Mars
No Man’s Sky
What are the main differences between P5 and P5 Strikers?
P5 and P5R are JRPG through and through.
The main difference in Strikers is that while it still has RPG elements, go around town, look for clues, etc, the battle system is from the Dynasty Warriors game engine. They still integrate the Persona’s magic, and SP management is tight, but they let you do some casting for free with certain button combos. I was never a fan of the DW games, or even Transformers Devastation for that matter, but they did such a good job on this one imo. I may even go back and give TD another whirl after this.
Even on hard, I would just run in to a trash mob, or boss, and just lay into 'em. Merciless difficulty does not have that luxury it seems.
I started playing as well - still in the early stages but I’ve built my first teleporter. There’s actually a lot more building and resource collection than I thought it would be.
I’ve always been tempted to get Dynasty Warrior but with no experience on them it’s a hard sell. Transformers Devestation was trash in my opnion. Though I did love P5.
So No Man’s Sky peeps, anyone fancy some shared exploration??
I’m still a newbie but it seems like it would be fun. Is the latest expedition something you can do multiplayer?
Might be worth it to grab it on sale. I got mine at BT for R399, but that deal is over I would imagine.
As with persona games, they are very story driving, and this is no exception. I liked the story, I like the new characters. If you like hack and slash, I’d say chances are good you’ll enjoy it overall.
And the soundtrack is bomb as should be expected from the series.
Awesome! I’m not very far. Just did the intro thing with Patty and then sailed to the Voodoo people island and I’m exploring there at the moment. The combat can be insanely difficult when you face multiple enemies and they start stun-locking you, but I’m enjoying it.
Oh heck ya, Piranha Bytes games often feel like they are on Harcore mode. So difficult in the early stages. You have to run away a lot at first. Levelling skills is also tougher than usual. First level up your desired skill then go to a trainer and pay them to teach you moves in that skill tree.
Anyway, I’m fully hooked at the moment
