Wow, weekend plans changed a lot.
Saturday there was a couple breakdowns on combines. All my mates either farmers or John Deere Mechanics so we cancelled golf.
We took the girls for a drive to get McDonalds about 80km away as a treat. Yip, fastfood can be a day outing out here.
Got a whatsapp from one of the Parks Board Hon Officers.
“Crumbs, I know you applied, but been sick this week. We at Royal Natal - do you want to join us”
Started looking for my camping gear at 8pm and by 7am we where on the road.
Spent Sunday working on the campsite at the park. making and installing sheaths for baby trees so they don’t get ringbarked whilst staff brushcut.
Had a braai and girls had their first night in a tent.
Was awesome to be camping again. It was negative f… degrees Celsius and a moerse wind joined us at midnight. At one stage the tent was resting against my face thanks to the wind.
All in all, best weekend in a long while.

It’s long weekend peoples!
What have you got planned?
I’m going to watch lots of rugby and Formula 1. And then I also want to finish The Surge 2 and play lots of Gwent. Not going to do any kind of work this weekend if I can help it.
