You need to gain XP. Crafting badges gives you XP and you can craft badges with cards thar drop from games. You can have a look at your Steam profile under the badges section to see what you need to do to craft badges. The community badges require participation, like writing a review, uploading screenshots, commenting on someoneā€™s profile, etcā€¦
