Just finished watching “Battle Programmer Shirase”
Not a lot of anime I am watching this season, so went for something older, and it holds up, very funny and silly anime.
This is a super late reply, but I heard it again recently and it was bugging me to no end.
I was playing a VN called Planaterium and in the game there’s a tune called Hoshi no Sekai It has a similar arrangement to A friend in Jesus.
So I went digging around the internet for a bit and found out that the song was most likely brouh over to Japan along with missionaries. It was then translated to Itsukushimi Fukaki (merciful). It went through a couple of renditions over the previous century and finally ended up with the title Hoshi no Sekai (World of Stars, the same song Yuzuki was sining). Both have similar arrangements and are both based on the original hymn. It’s also pretty popular at Japanese wedding ceremonies.

EDIT:
Saw the first episode of the Trigun remake, and they seem to have changed one of the girls for like a senior man, which is kind of strange. Will see how the rest of the anime pans out.
Also now watched the Nier: Automata anime’s first episode, so far it is keeping in line with the game, going to be interesting to see how they go further with it, if they will go with one of the game endings or if they are going to do something completely new.

I keep meaning to get back into AirGear(coz the anime never continued), maybe this will spark it again. I’ll wait for a response(although I had a few sites)
I used to use Mangakakalot, but they started getting so many bot posts with terrible translations, I have now swapped to mangadex, but its weird, on Firefox the site in general loads INCREDIBLY slowly, but all the pages load to completion however, on chrome it loads quicker, but sometimes some of the pages refuse to load, no matter how many times I refresh

So I have been watching: “Watching The Aristocrat’s Otherworldly Adventure: Serving Gods Who Go Too Far” and I noticed one of the voices sounded very familiar, turns out the voice actor for Majima Goro from the Yakuza games, is one of the main voice actors in this anime as well, I am sure its not something that is uncommon, but it just feels so cool knowing that the “The Mad Dog of Shimano” is in an anime you like.
