Disposal of electronics

Where is the correct place to dispose of old electronics? The old CRT style TV finally conked out and I need to dispose of it somewhere responsibly. I don’t just want to leave it on the roadside like some people do, you can physically track the progress of it being destroyed as people break bits day to day.

All sorts of Smart TVs

Do you have a smart TV? What brand is it? How do you like it? I have a Hisense TV that runs on some weird thing called Vidaa. It doesn’t seem to have an app store but international youtube videos show that it does. So it has a bunch of pre-loaded stuff that is useless. The work around I’ve found is to use the cast feature from my phone.

Coming back to a game you used to play

Tonight I reinstalled Rocket League to play with friends, one of whom was trying it out for the first time. It’s been ages since I last played. It only took a few minutes to remember how fun this game is, especially if you don’t get too competitive and can laugh at all your terrible mistakes. We’ll definitely be playing some more of it. Any games that you dropped and came back to years later?

The wheel of time game is available on GOG. I’m not sure when it happened but I know it was not available before (pretty sure we discussed this somewhere). But anyway it looks like the folks at GOG have made it playable on modern systems. It selling at $9.99
