Coronavirus - COVID-19

Fuck. I went all normal and bought food and stuff during the toilet paper apocalypse.
I will eat. My dogs will eat. But without beer I shall surely die.

Yeah thatā€™s the confusion due to that speech being hella vague. PnP, Checkers and Spar all have liquor outlets - so do they fall in line with ā€˜supermarket wills be openā€™ or not.

Good questionā€¦ Thankfully I only really drink wine at home. So as long as they stay in the grocery stores, Iā€™m fine. But sometimesā€¦ Whiskey is needed when funds are available.

Yeah you guys are sortedā€¦ wine mafia made sure of that years ago.

Iā€™m still not sure if Iā€™m gonna work during this time or not, guess Iā€™ll find out tomorrow. I work for a parking company but I work at a Hospital so they might argue we still need to be here.

It would actually be pointless for us to be here IMO since the hospital is enforcing strict entrance control and this place is dead except for half an hour of visitations.

Umm, this is going to sound a bit silly maybe, but when exactly is ā€œmidnight on Thursday 26 Marchā€??

I think a lot of people, myself included, are assuming itā€™s the at the end of Thursday night, right? But technically ā€œmidnightā€ is 00:00, and 00:00 on Thursday 26 would be the start of the day? So we would need to have our shit sorted by the end of Wednesday?

This is my fear that will happen now. Right before the lock down suddenly we have groups of people and boom we got a hotspot.

Iā€™ve been trying to find out that exact thing also

Or more likely a whole lot of hotspots in every corner of the country. Just what we need. Thousands of possibly infected people rushing off to their rural homes in areas with limited, if not non-existent, health care services.

So glad itā€™s not just me. :grinning:

Ideally that would have wanted to start the lockdown immediately. There will be some mass gathering around shopping malls and transport. But it will allow people to prepare, to get home etc. and thereafter the isolation should do itā€™s job in ā€œflattening the curveā€ by the end of the second week or so.

Then thereā€™s this; government arranged lockdown from the 26 march 2020 and the Bible verse Isaiah 26:20 says:

Go, my people, enter your rooms and shut the doors behind you; hide yourselves for a little while until his wrath has passed by. (Isaiah 26:20 NIV)

Fake.

Tell wherever you saw it to sort their shit out and stop the bull - ainā€™t no one got time for that.

Apologies.

Yeah, I think this is why they did it. Just like closing the schools on Wednesday after announcing the closures on Sunday.

But who wants to bet all the toilet paper will disappear again today?

I still canā€™t post stuff. Not from any browser.

What the hell. Now it suddenly posted.

I honestly donā€™t know whatā€™s causing it.
