I don’t recall it being that time consuming either. The spacing between the waypoints felt like a logical checkpoint to stop after each session.
I also didn’t go for any “perfect” builds either. Most were pretty bad actually, but fun. My main character was a necromancer who wielded a huge hammer.
Nightmare and Hell difficulties were much harder, and I imagine that grind would become severe here.
Not gonna lie, also don’t understand any of this grind talk, me and my brothers just played it for the fun and by the time the end was reached we were fulfilled, no need for grinding I feel, guess it depends on the difficulty in the end though.
Also did anyone here opt in for the tech alpha? I did, I sometimes get lucky with these things, so I hope I get to check it out
My Diablo II isn’t linked. I must see how to do it. Actually have two copies I think. The original CD and the one that came with the Diablo III Collector’s Edition.
Going back and installing the old D2 and even trying plugy, it’s an awful experience on the current defacto OS and hardware. I think even new years has a higher resolution If nothing else, I look forward to playing it, but will probably never put as much time into it again. But fuck early adoption, beta testing, and pre-orders. I’ll wait a month and check many gameplay videos, before they pry any money out of my cold dead hands.
