Dirt Rally 2.0 [MEWRL]

Understatement! Just as I start (eventually!!) to actually concentrate on my car control, I still land up making way too many mistakes because I misjudged my speed.

Too Fast, Too Furious - Spanish Edition. :grinning:

That said, I’m at least done… a bunch of drivers have just a day and a half left to whip their Group A whips around the Spanish roads.

¡Arriba, Arriba! ¡Ándale, Ándale!

Have those wonderful suppliers of electricity said anything yet about the weekend? Or are they waiting to surprise us with news at 5 this evening?

I’ve been making a note, to not read news, and just live my life. So i have no fuggin eye deer

Yeah, I put a stop to news and that sort a long time ago and don’t regret it one bit.

On a side swipe note, I am happy with my current times and performance. I am really enjoying the tune and stages, so far…

@Boogey NOOOO!!! Stage 1 hasn’t recorded for you for some reason. You only appear in the results from Stage 2 with the 30-minute penalty for a long stage added to your time. Any idea what happened?

So far, we’ve had 8 start but only 4 finish. The four who still need to finish, and anyone else who wants to add their names to the Results Table, you’ve got a little over 11 hours left.

On a separate point, anyone know this person? Pending request for club membership, but no idea or new request here.

I am so pissed with myself, I was challenging @GregRedd for third and actually took it after a stage with a 1s difference, and then threw it all away with mistakes in the following stages.

Ahh, Spain. Such a pretty place for a country drive. Toss up a couple of Brembo ad banners and a bunch of hazard tape though, and pretty Spain becomes pretty Pain. From a Stage 1 “Technical Infringement Penalty” for the Championship leader, and a failed last-minute dash for glory by the Dragon Man, the Ribadelles roads were once again host to some of the fastest rally Stages on the Dirt Rally circuit.

A sub-50 minute winning time saw :1st_place_medal: @aldyr secure the :trophy: P1 trophy after his biggest rival, @Boogey, lost his Stage 1 time to the Gods of Random and got hit with a 30-minute penalty, leaving him 22 minutes off the win.

Taking the silver, :2nd_place_medal: @LazyDemoni had control of the top step for most of the rally period, only to be thwarted by @Aldyr logging his times on the final day. A solid rally nonetheless saw him finish 4 minutes behind the leader, and a little over a minute ahead of his championship rival, :3rd_place_medal: @the9avenger9 who was back on the P3 podium step again.

Over 2 minutes further back to yours truly in P4 for my best finish yet, ahead of @Beo in P5, giving the Lancer Evo VI a clean sweep of the Top 5. Classified P6 after his penalty, @Boogey was the last to cross the finish line, while @WarRack101 was the last classified driver after he crashed out on Stage 5. @Murfle, with his traditionally minimum of one stage done, scores the final point, adding to his collection of championship points.

Talking about which, after @Boogey’s painful penalty, he slips to 2nd on the Standings, dropping 3 points behind @Aldyr. The race for P3 remains tight, with @LazyDemoni now just 1 point ahead of @the9avenger9. Despite poor finishes in the last two rallies, @WarRack101 still retains his hold on a Top 5 finish, with @Beo and myself, tie on 20 points each, 4 points behind him.

Five more events to go in the season. Next up, we’re off to The Upside Down Under for the Aussie Rally.

Rally Route

Twelve straight-forward, all dry stages for you to wrestle your gigantic RWD sports saloon around. Mind your tyres last the opening 3 stages with their High-Max-High surface degradation. Day 3 sees two back-to-back long stages (S08 and S09), while the final day starts off with another long stage. Conditions shift between Clear and Cloudy, with Daytime, Sunset, and Dusk stages rotating throughout.

So what you waiting for? @aldyr has already got half the event done, and is currently perched on a bar stool in Dave’s Outback Pub smashing back a horde of tinnies while munching on a pie and gravy with chips. Get over there and join him mates! :australia:

Is this also the most nice car for this class?

Easiest to drive I think, small, nimble, soaks up the bumps, even if you drive over your mother-in-law.
