I only had 1 meal today. We have our “off weekend” this weekend. We implemented a hybrid 4-day work week 3 months ago where people who opt in work 9 hours a day and get a 4-day weekend once a month. So essentially 2 extra leave days each month.
Anyway, we had breakfast at the V&A Waterfront and took our son for his first ever cinema experience this afternoon. So the breakfast I had was absolutely incredible: Brioche french toast with cinnamon banana, vanilla cream and peanut butter, with poached eggs, bacon and mushrooms on the side. It was really filling and incredibly delicious:

We have reached a parenting milestone today: my oldest is going to a drop-off party! No longer requiring me at the party! Whoop! The bad thing is that she will soon insist that I am no longer needed at all, other than transportation services…

Yeah it really gives you that great mid-month breather. After only a single off day (with our son at school) we feel refreshed. Now we have another off day coming on Monday. Oh, the reason I’m saying “we” is because my wife is our finance admin. So we take our off days together.
