It r 6°C on the south coast, but it doesn’t feel so bad, cos the humidity is higher than in Cape Town city bowl.

Thats like freezing for Durban people.

Whereabouts on the South Coast are you based these days? I remember you making the move from CT a while ago.

Ah nice. I drive through there frequently. My parents stay in Kleinmond. We always do the Clarence Drive, uhhh, drive when visiting. Beautiful road.

Hey ya’ll.

The power is finally back on at home. Three days of no power just for them to come out to flip a switch.

Hello mense! :wave:t2:

Up in Hillcrest for the weekend with some mates. Inspired by @DarthMol we decided to have a lan at a friends house and played Dota until 2am. Ah, the good old days… And in true LAN fashion we had both power and network issues that ate like 2 hours of our fun!

Tonight we play Alien Swarm as its free, fun and easy as 1 mate is not a gamer at all.

Good morning everyone.

Alien Swarm is fun.

Urgh, now we get here and he says he doesn’t want to do grading and doesn’t think he wants to do jiu-jitsu anymore.

What is parents take on “making” their kids partake in such activities?

It all depends if you want to teach commitment or not as a life skill.

Reason with your child and try find positives that they enjoy about the activity they committed to and why they started with it in the first place. Then find out why they want to stop. Then ask them if they want to give up because it is hard or because if there is another reason. If they say it is hard, attempt to make them understand that giving up when things are hard will get them nowhere. If there is another reason, work through that.

Or you can let them give up for no reason other than that they don’t like it, in which case you are teaching them nothing useful.

Having a nice late Saturday afternoon braai. With wood of course. Want to get my game on a little tonight with Far Cry 6. Grabbed it for about nothing during the last Epic sale.

Thinking the same as seeing it on sale in Xbox for R300, seems to be good value.
